Ram Kaushik
Founder & Director | Entrepreneur • Hotelier • Heritage Visionary
With over three decades of experience in hospitality, heritage restoration and entrepreneurship, Ram Kaushik has dedicated his career to creating places where history, architecture, nature and heartfelt Indian hospitality come together.
His journey in hospitality began with Neemrana Fort Palace, where he developed a deep appreciation for India's architectural heritage and the art of transforming historic spaces into memorable guest experiences.
Driven by a belief that heritage should not merely be preserved, but brought back to life, he went on to establish and develop distinctive heritage properties in Alwar, Rajasthan. His work at Dadhikar Fort transformed a neglected historic fort into an intimate heritage retreat, followed by Ram Bihari Palace, where he restored a centuries-old palace and reimagined it as a refined hospitality destination overlooking the Aravallis and Siliserh Lake. His approach has always extended beyond construction and restoration—focusing on preserving the character, craftsmanship and soul of each property.
Today, that journey continues in the hills of Kumbhalgarh with Shrisiddhpuram, his most ambitious expression of this philosophy. Perched amidst the Aravallis, the property brings together centuries-old architectural elements, traditional craftsmanship and contemporary comfort. Architectural treasures and craftsmanship sourced from different parts of India have been thoughtfully restored and incorporated into the property, creating a distinctive experience rooted in India's living heritage.
For Ram Kaushik, every property is more than a hotel. It is a story waiting to be rediscovered.
His philosophy is simple: preserve what is precious, respect the craftsmanship of the past, and create experiences that allow guests to connect with India's heritage in an intimate and meaningful way.
From the forts and palaces of Alwar to the mountains of Kumbhalgarh, his journey continues to be guided by the same enduring vision—to revive forgotten heritage, create soulful places, and make every stay an experience to remember.
Rebirth of Shrisiddhpuram
In the majestic lap of the Aravalli Range, nestled amidst the verdant hills of Kumbhalgarh lies a hidden gem that speaks volumes of opulence and grandeur—Shrisiddhpuram a heritage monumental boutique hotel. This luxurious sanctuary, situated just a stone’s throw from the historic Kumbhalgarh Fort, the pride of Mewar, Udaipur, Rajasthan, is not just a hotel but a testament to India's rich heritage and architectural brilliance. The brainchild of the visionary Ram Kaushik, this boutique hotel has been crafted from 100 to 700-year-old architectural craftsmanship from different parts of India into a beacon of luxury, blending historical charm with modern opulence. Ram Kaushik, the dynamic force behind this monumental transformation, envisioned a retreat that not only offered respite but also preserved and celebrated the architectural and cultural ethos of Rajasthan. Under his meticulous guidance, the ruins, once silent spectators to the passage of centuries, were restored to their former glory.
Ram Kaushik's dedication brought together artisans and craftsmen from diverse regions of India, each contributing their unique ancestral skills to revive the soul of this historic edifice. From the far reaches of Dholpur, Jodhpur, Agra, and Old Delhi to the vibrant markets of Bombay, Mysore, South India, and Gujarat, every corner of Shrisiddhpuram echoes the symphony of unity and craftsmanship orchestrated by Ram Kaushik. The stones that form the backbone of the resort have traveled distances, sourced from the quarries of Dholpur, known for their robust and radiant quality. These stones now stand proudly, telling tales of resilience and eternity. Under Ram's watchful eye, the intricate carvings grace the balconies and courtyards whispering the secrets of Mysore’s legendary craftsmanship. The furniture, an assortment of styles ranging from the traditional to the contemporary, was meticulously selected from South India and Gujarat, offering a feast for the senses with their exquisite woodwork and ornate embellishments.
Every room in the resort is a chapter from a royal saga, furnished with pieces that speak the language of luxury. The grandeur of the beds, sourced from Bombay and Calcutta, invites one to recline in the lap of extravagance, surrounded by the soft whispers of silken drapes and the subtle fragrances of sandalwood and spices that seem to permeate the air.
Dining at the resort is akin to partaking in a royal feast, with dishes that are a mélange of local and international flavors, prepared by chefs who are maestros in their culinary art where each bite is a tribute to the traditional cooking methods passed down through generations, enriched with locally sourced spices. Beyond the walls of this palatial resort, the rolling landscapes of Kumbhalgarh beckon. The fort, known as the Great Wall of India, offers a historical backdrop that enhances the mystique and allure of the resort.
The resort itself offers a plethora of activities, from serene walks in its expansive gardens to moonlit dinners under the star-studded sky, making every moment spent here a memory etched in time. Shrisiddhpuram is a dream realized—a place where the past and the present merge seamlessly to offer an escapade that is both enchanting and enlightening.
